The Hyatt Regency Danang sits on a massive property equivalent to 8.5 soccer fields, boasting a stunning 750-meter stretch of sandy beach and five luxurious swimming pools. This resort offers a range of accommodations to suit various preferences, with most rooms featuring spectacular ocean views. The property includes 198 guest rooms, 142 residences with 1-3 bedrooms, and 18 three-bedroom villas.
For dining, the resort showcases diverse culinary options, including Vietnamese, French Mediterranean, and Italian cuisines at its uniquely styled restaurants spread throughout the property.
The spa, housed in a dedicated building, features 8 single treatment rooms, 2 double treatment rooms, and a foot massage room, making it one of the largest among local resorts. The resort also offers an array of indoor and outdoor event spaces!
In December, I visited the Hyatt Regency Danang using my Hyatt credit card points. Here’s an in-depth review based on my personal experience.
Hyatt Regency Danang Ocean View King Bed Room

The Ocean View King Bed Room was spacious (40㎡) and comfortable. Next to the king-size bed, a sofa and table made it convenient for enjoying takeout meals. The balcony was large, equipped with a table and chairs—perfect for soaking in the ocean view.
However, the TV wasn’t the best—it occasionally cut out or showed a screen indicating that some ads were restricted due to regulations.

The bathroom was another highlight, with dual sinks and a large bathtub offering views of the ocean. However, bath salts weren’t provided, so bring your own if you enjoy baths.

One great discovery was the retractable clothesline, ideal for drying swimsuits.

The storage space was ample, and the room was equipped with a safe, an iron, an umbrella, and slippers. However, one downside was the hairdryer. Its cord was short and didn’t stretch well, so it kept unplugging while I was drying my hair. It wasn’t a major issue, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Hyatt Regency Danang Pools and Beach

The resort’s landscaping was beautiful, and since it was December, the weather was cool, making the pools less crowded. There were Christmas decorations, including a lovely tree, adding to the festive ambiance.

Beyond the main pool, there’s a unique sand-bottom pool. Just outside the resort lies the beach, complete with hammocks and loungers. I particularly enjoyed morning runs along the beach, breathing in the fresh ocean air.
Hyatt Regency Danang Gym

The gym, located near the spa, wasn’t large but had all the essential equipment. Towels and water were readily available, but you’ll need to bring your own workout clothes. I forgot mine, so I borrowed my husband’s!

A glass door in the gym leads to a stretching room with additional equipment like gym balls and a boxing dummy.
The spa facilities were impressive, including a sauna with wet and dry options, two baths, and a swimsuit spinner for drying wet clothes. The sauna lockers were well-stocked with towels and slippers. I was lucky to have the entire sauna to myself during my visit. (For the photos, I made sure to double and triple-check that there was absolutely no one!)

When was Hyatt Regency Danang built?
The resort opened in November 2011 but underwent renovations between 2023 and 2024, so it doesn’t feel outdated.
How far is the Hyatt Regency from Danang Airport?
It’s about a 15-20 minute drive via Grab. While it’s relatively close, frequent trips to the city center near Han River can make it feel a bit far.

Is there a shuttle service at Hyatt Regency Danang?
There’s no shuttle to the airport, but the resort offers a shuttle bus to and from Hoi An.
- Resort to Hoi An: 10:00 AM, 4:00 PM
- Hoi An to Resort: 11:00 AM, 5:00 PM
- Price: 80,000 VND one-way (free for children under 3 when accompanied by an adult).
- Reservations must be made at least 30 minutes in advance at the concierge desk.
Final Thoughts
The Hyatt Regency Danang offers a wide variety of room options, excellent facilities, and diverse swimming pools. Although I didn’t take photos, the resort also has great children’s facilities and programs, making it an ideal destination for family trips. Plus, if you have a Hyatt credit card, it’s a great option as you can easily book your stay using points.
