I had the delightful opportunity to experience Singapore Airline’s Business Class back in 2022. It’s been a little while, but I’d like to share my experience before the details fade away.
The voyage tooke me from Incheon, Korea to Singapore. The travel time was 6:10 hours and the type of the plane was Boeing 787-10. As a business class traveler, I was allowed up to 40kg, 2 baggages. (You can check more details on baggage here)
The seat was almost flat (as I remember, it was not completely flat while the flight from Singapore to US was) but it was no problem traveling 6 hours for me. I really liked that it had a hook where I can hang my jacket.
One standout feature was the premium quality of the blanket provided. Unlike the standard airplane blankets, this one felt noticeably thicker and offered a refreshing touch, enhancing the overall comfort of the flight.
The additional space beside the seat was a welcome convenience, providing ample room to store essentials like water bottles and smartphones within easy reach.
Now, onto the highlight of any journey – the dining experience! Singapore Airlines’ renowned culinary offerings certainly lived up to their reputation, exceeding my already high expectations.
Singapore Satay
Among the standout dishes was the Singapore Satay, a delightful surprise to find on an aircraft. The flame-grilled chicken skewers, accompanied by onions, cucumbers, and a delectable peanut sauce, delivered a burst of flavor reminiscent of outdoor barbecues. The sauce leaned slightly towards the sweeter side for my taste. Its portion is quite generous as well as an appetizer – I think it deserves to be a main menu.
Prosciutto Salad (uncertain)
Although the name escapes me, the Prosciutto Salad offered a refreshing start to the meal, featuring a delightful combination of flavors and textures.
Parmesan and Herb Crusted Chicken Breast
For the main course, I opted for the Parmesan and Herb Crusted Chicken Breast, a decision I certainly didn’t regret. The tender chicken, coated in a flavorful crust, showcased the airline’s commitment to culinary excellence, leaving a lasting impression.
It is always exciting right before landing, right?
Stepping into Singapore Changi Airport, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride as a Korean, spotting the familiar sight of a Korean bakery amidst the bustling terminal—a comforting reminder of home in a foreign land.
Overall, my experience aboard Singapore Airlines’ Business Class was exceptional. The meals were exceptional, the crew exhibited both professionalism and friendliness, and the seat and cabin space were well designed and spacious.
While the level of newness can vary depending on factors such as the aircraft type, overall, I found the experience to be notably fresher and more modern compared to Korean Air’s seating arrangements.
